In the Czech Republic, we have a very special Easter tradition – pomlázka – it is
an old pagan tradition celebrated on Easter Monday: young men walk with long,
flexible whips made out of willow twigs, usually decorated with colourful ribbons, and
spank the girls with them on their behinds.

That’s why we organised Easter pomlázka weaving for everyone who was
interested on Palm Sunday. It was an intimate event, and we would like to thank
all people that came to learn how to make a proper pomlázka.
